What is a Box server?
Box servers give every player a personal mining box — layered ores, auto-sell, custom enchants, and prestige resets in one tight progression loop.
- Your own private box. Every player gets a personal mine instead of sharing a public quarry. Your blocks, your loot, your pace.
- Mine, sell, upgrade. Layered ores get rarer as you dig deeper. Auto-sell turns each block into cash for the next pickaxe upgrade.
- Custom pickaxe enchants. Fortune, Explosive, Token Greed, Lucky — stacking enchants is where Box servers turn from grind to combo game.
- Prestige and rebirth. Hit the top of your box and prestige for permanent multipliers. The long-tail loop most Box servers are built around.
- Free on Java and Bedrock. Crossplay between PC and mobile via Geyser. Bring any legitimate Minecraft account.
Frequently asked questions
How do I join a Box server on Minehut?
Connect to mc.minehut.com from the Minecraft Java multiplayer menu, then pick a Box server from the list above and join it through the Minehut lobby with /server <name>. From Bedrock Edition, connect to bedrock.minehut.com on port 19132.
How are Box servers different from Prison?
Both center on mining and prestiging. Prison servers route you through public mines A-Z, gating each one behind a rank-up. Box servers give every player a private personal mine instead, so you progress at your own pace without queueing for the next public mine. Box is also typically more enchant-focused.
Can I make my own Box server?
Yes — Minehut hosts community servers free of charge. Spin up a server in under a minute and install a Box/private-mines plugin from the in-panel marketplace. See /server-plans for paid tiers.
Are these Box servers free?
Yes. Every Box server listed here is free to play on Minehut. You only need a legitimate Minecraft Java or Bedrock account.
