What is a Citybuild server?
Citybuild servers combine creative-style building with light progression — claim a plot, build your house or shop, and grow a city with other players.
- Plot-based claims. Each player gets one or more plots in a shared city grid. Build freely inside your plot without worrying about griefing.
- Jobs and economy. Most citybuild servers ship a job system (miner, farmer, builder, hunter) that earns coins you can spend on bigger plots or rent shops.
- Player shops and rentable storefronts. Set up a chest shop on your plot, or rent a storefront in the central market — the player economy is usually the social glue of the server.
- Free on Java and Bedrock. Every citybuild server here is free to play. Crossplay between PC and mobile via the Geyser bridge on most servers.
- Builder-friendly toolset. Many servers grant access to extra blocks, head databases, or WorldEdit-lite tools inside your plot so big builds stay manageable.
Frequently asked questions
How do I join a citybuild server on Minehut?
Connect to mc.minehut.com from the Minecraft Java multiplayer menu, then pick a citybuild server from the list above and join it through the Minehut lobby with /server <name>. From Bedrock Edition, connect to bedrock.minehut.com on port 19132.
What's the difference between citybuild and creative?
Creative servers give you unlimited blocks in survival-free plots — pure building, no progression. Citybuild keeps survival-mode gathering and a coin economy but adds protected city plots, jobs, and shops so building has a social and economic layer on top.
Are these citybuild servers free?
Yes. Every citybuild server listed here is free to play on Minehut. You only need a legitimate Minecraft Java or Bedrock account.
How do I claim a plot?
Once you join a citybuild server, look for the spawn signs or run /plot auto to be assigned a free plot. Some servers require you to play for a few minutes or earn starter coins before claiming. Check the in-game rules or /help when you arrive.
